After being in business for just about five months, I’ve finally decided to blog! It's exciting because my husband, Sandy, and I have have so much to share about our new business and our experience in building this company from scratch! From literally building farm tables out of old barn wood to traveling far and wide to find treasures to add to our collection, I plan to tell it all here. I want to provide brides and clients with truly helpful and creative DIY tips and projects that they can put their own spin on. Lets not have any Pinterest disasters LOL! Instead, lets actually craft and create and feel good about it! There is nothing more satisfying than creating something, finishing it, and being proud of the beauty you've made. While our Facebook pagewill still include updates on new pieces and snippets of all the current projects that Mountain Craft is working on, I still wanted the ability to go in depth, and our blog is where you'll find all the in depth GOOD STUFF - from tutorials, inspiration, real wedding flash backs, and tons more! This blog will evolve just as Mountain Craft will...
I want to also share with you our love for our two cities: Savannah, GA and Boone, NC. I know - they are 6 hours away from one another and they are soooo different from one another in soooo many ways - but they each have a piece of our hearts -and for good reason too! Our Mountain Craft style is and will continue to be a mix of these two amazing places. We want the historic and vintage charm that southern Savannah has always exuded to shine through each time we hand pick an antique piece to add to our collection, and we of course want that deep rooted and earthy beauty of the Appalachian mountains to come through when we hand-build and restore old church pews and farm tables (by that I really mean, when Sandy builds them). So from time to time you will see posts about our two cities we call home, and you will begin to see just how they've influenced our every detail and every decision Mountain Craft makes.
NOW back to business, I want you to know that I'll respond QUICKLY to all inquiries we receive because we want to try and be a part of every event we can! We love showing up and adding that Mountain Craft "special-ness" to your events! I also want you to know that if you are a booked Mountain Craft client, you can expect personal (REAL ONE-ON-ONE) conversations/emails/texts about your ideas and your specific plans. No matter how "crazy" and "big" the idea may be we want to try and make it happen. I promise! We really want to be the company that can create bold one-of-a-kind events that make your guests and your loved ones sit back and say "HOLY COW!" and "I'VE NEVER SEEN ANYTHING AS BEAUTIFUL AS THIS!" Now, I want you to know what makes this reaction possible is attention to the details. I'm telling you now...IT'S ALL IN THE DETAILS! And we're detail oriented. We don't just build tables and rustic benches we plan to build personal relationships with our clients because you're sharing your biggest days and biggest memories with us! Thank you for the honor. With that being said, I want this blog’s focus to be on more than just “vintage and rustic event rentals” — I want this blog to feature other local vendors and local stories from our cities we love, share my very own recipes that bring my family happiness, and provide you with actual tips and ideas that you'll really want to use.
So cheers to planning, cheers to Mountain Craft, cheers to blogging, and cheers to upcoming weddings! Thanks for supporting us!
